NEW DEAL LEGACY
ART PLATES PROJECT
The New Mexico Community Foundation has launched
the New Deal Legacy Art Plate Project and
Community Arts Resources Endowment Fund and is
partnering in this endeavor with a number of
organizations including ten regional arts
councils through the New Mexico Community Arts
Alliance. A series of five collector auto
license plates is being offered for sale. These
plates depict significant art works created by
New Mexican artists in the 1930s and 1940s under
the Federal Artists Program. Proceeds from the
sale of these Legacy Art Plates will directly
support the New Mexico Community Foundation's
local partners involved in cultural art
programming throughout the state.

These plates can be purchased through the Los
Alamos Arts Council. They make terrific gifts
and are tax deductible. For more information
